Hi,

I’m Terry White — a dad, writer, former teacher, and big kid at heart!

I created Whiz Kid Books to bring smiles, giggles, and a little bit of mystery to kids of all ages. I'm the author of the Detective Square Bear series for curious little readers (ages 2–6) and the ghostwriter behind Chester Mac’s Only Funny Jokes, a laugh-out-loud guide to telling better jokes for ages 6–12. Chester says he wrote it but actually I did!,

I believe books should be fun, not a chore — especially for kids who "don’t like reading" (yet!). That’s why all my stories come with colorful characters, wacky situations, and just the right amount of silliness.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually brainstorming my next idea, picking up kids’ toys, or trying out my latest knock-knock joke on unsuspecting grown-ups.
